Baby Zodiac
The skeptic in me doesn't believe in astrology, but sometimes it's fun
to check out my horoscope in magazines. So I thought this article in
Parents magazine on Zodiac Signs For Babies was cute.
Johnny is a Virgo and here is what it says about him.
Virgo: August 23-September 22
Determined, resourceful, and industrious, your baby is anxious to
get a head start in life. Play off his goal-oriented nature with
toys that give him a sense of accomplishment (such as soft blocks,
shape sorters, and pounding boards). Your child is likely to be a
picky eater by nature. Expand his tastes by offering a variety of
healthy foods at mealtime. Virgos don't like disorder; keep his
nursery and play area tidy. Fend off fussiness by changing his
dirty diapers quickly. And be ready with a fresh outfit the minute
he gets a stain on what he's wearing.
I cracked up at the part about being a picky eater, because Johnny is
the poster child for picky. He also mastered his shape sorter toy very
early, and loves blocks and things that let him pound. However, he
could care less about wearing dirty clothes or having a messy bedroom.
In fact, he is the one making the room messy! John did point out that
Johnny doesn't like disorder when it comes to his food. Don't bother
giving him a broken cracker, because he won't eat it.
Maureen is a Sagittarius, and here is her horoscope.
Sagittarius: November 22-December 21
Optimistic, outgoing, and content, little Archers are true
explorers. Put your baby in a carrier or stroller and she'll
happily go wherever you lead. Spend time roaming around the
backyard and checking out the neighborhood: She needs lots of
exercise for her physical and mental health. Your child will bounce
back quickly from little spills and failures. But she also gets
bored easily and constantly needs new toys. To hold her attention,
read lots of stories about exciting adventures in faraway lands--
and promise that she'll get to visit them someday too.
Maureen is one of the most contented babies I have ever met, and she
is very social. She was always happy as an infant when I stuck her in
the Bjorn, but now that she's mobile on her own, she'd rather be down
on the floor exploring. The part about getting bored is funny too,
because she'll play with certain toys for ages, and others she will
toss aside instantly because it's no fun for her.

accurate is it?
